Countries have natural boundaries or political boarders established by treaties. This work marks ironically a border not made up of mountains, oceans or river but of shadow. With a red spray I marked the shadow-line produced from my house on the hedge which marks the boundary between my ground and that of my neighbor. One month later, the shadow projected on the hedge a new border line, emphasizing the precariousness and instability of our geographic and political boundaries. Nowadays, climate change and global warming are changing the Earth’s geography, sea levels are rising and islands are disappearing. If the global sea levels continue to rise steadily at current rates, within decades millions of people will be displaced from their homes on the Pacific islands.
