The pictures show young women engaged in domestic activities who wear the reproduction of the yellow silk jacket which belonged to the Vermeer’s wife and appears in six of his paintings. The woman is relaxed, almost out of touch, the environment is reserved, but the objects of a busy, modern life can still be seen.
