In 2015, our global plastic consumption worldwide has been estimated at 298 million tons, of which about 10% ends up in the Oceans every year.

Plastic is the most damaging refuse being discarded at this moment. Unfortunately, what’s happened with the way that soft plastic degrades in water is that the pieces become so fragmented that they’re the same size as the zooplankton, which obviously ends up in the food chain.
