The title refers to the Mussorgsky composition "Pictures at an Exhibition"
The characters depicted in the photographs show their backs to the viewer and direct our gaze on a white wall without images, thus activating our imagination. This is a re-contextualization: the photos were taken during the 7th Berlin Biennale and act as an associative process that sharpens our perception. The work explores the connection between venue and interaction with the audience.
